HAPPY BIRTHDAY PADRE!

Saturday we celebrated my dad's birthday. We all went out to dinner at La Casita. The waitress insisted that he put the sombrero on and that we all sing happy birthday to him. I've NEVER in my life saw my dad embarrassed, EVER, until that night. Happy birthday!
We also had a baby shower for my friend Em. She is due next month. YAY! She's having a baby girl. I'm so excited for her.

Thailand Trip 2

I'm sitting in my room right now relaxing before the chaos starts, so I thought I'd fill you all in. As most of you know, I'm back in Thailand, round two, event time! I arrived Friday evening or early Friday morning Utah time. It took us a little over 34hours total to get here this time around. We had a lovely 6 hour layover in Hong Kong. I sat in the lounge day dreaming about the Gucci and Armani stores a level below me. There was a Ferregamo store with a HOT pair of heels in the window that kept winking at me, but I held my ground and stayed away. The fact that I couldn't have afforded them helped me to stay away. I am still trying to adjust to the time change and still suffering from jet lag. I'm functioning like a true Steele; 7 pm comes around and I can hardly keep my eyes open. ;) I don't have any pictures to post, yet. I am in work mode this time and I took pictures of pretty much everything at the resort the last time around. Tomorrow, Monday, I'm venturing into the city with our tour guide, Tuk, to get fresh fruit for our displays. I will take pictures of the marketplace to post. Tuesday we have some meetings in the morning and then the afternoon is free. I plan on reading my book and lounging on my balcony. Wednesday I will be going sea kayaking, again. I'm so excited! It's so amazing. Thursday the distributors are going on the elephant trek. I'm hoping to sneak down to the pool for the afternoon to get some sun! Friday I have the day to myself. :) Our distributors will be leaving Friday and then Saturday morning I head home. Another 34 hour trip! YAY!

My Most Favorite Place on Earth

Last week Gunner and I went to Disneyland. It was a week filled with ice cream, sunshine, rides, pizza and well...eating in general. I swear that's all we did while we were there. I think I consumed my body weight in food! We had dinner at the Blue Bayou one of the nights and it is a MUST for those of you that plan to go to Disneyland in the future. I had heard people talk about it before, but it is for sure one of THE BEST restaurants I've ever been to.

Festival of Color 2009

Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend my first ever Color Fest at the Krishna Temple in Salem. It was so much fun. I went with my old roommate Swappy, her new roommate Britney (the one that took my place) and our friends Crystal and Lance. It really was so much fun! DISNEYLAND!!

Disneyland here we come! We just booked our trip to Disneyland for the end of next month. I'm so excited! I have a lot going on at work over the next couple of months so I thought that we should take a vacation before things get crazy.

Moab

This past weekend we took a trip down to Moab. Rorry was racing in a Motocross race. We were hoping for sunshine and warm weather. Instead we froze and got snowed on. Here are a few of the pictures from the race on Saturday.


Rorry got a flat tire and wrecked, but still finished the race and didn't end up too far behind. He did a great job considering!
